Susan Sills was born and raised in Chicago, moving to the Boston area in 1973.  After graduating from Harvard University with a Masters Degree in Architecture she began her career as an architect and designer, spending many hours designing, drawing, and sketching. In the early 1990's she returned to painting and making art.  The influence of architecture can be seen in her distinct style that melds architectural elements into her work.
